I think that Kate Pruitt and I have a similar fascination with oversized, odd knit items. Today, while reading her blog, I was again exposed to Christien Meindertsma whose site I had once stumbled upon before I was so quick to bookmark everything. Christien actually makes an item called the Urchin Pouf, which, just as it sounds, is right up my alley.
Christien also makes an item called the Aran Rug which is an oversized knit rug or wall art piece. My mom sometimes knits with modified pvc pipes as needles so these projects seem somewhat feasible to me.
I also like this little contemporary sampler below – if only I was that good at switching up my patterns.
